> Many's the time I've seen people complain that FreeBSD didn't support their pet Wonkulating Gronkulator and that Linux did - and after you get into it with them, it always seems to come out in the discussion that their Wonkulating Gronkulator card costs $14, and the card that FreeBSD _does_ support that does the same thing, costs $25. (and is technically a better card) BTW, I have been applying the following Rules Of Thumb: 1) do NOT buy the cheapest hardware out there (without good reason); 2) do NOT (usually/normally) buy the most expensive hardware out there; 3) gnothi sauton^W^W know your hardware & buy it at a trustworthy shop/whatever. Briefly: in medio stat virtus. Erm, that's more of a way of life :-) As a result, on my bloat^H^H^H^Hworkstation, I have been multibooting & running (almost) all OSes out there^W^W available in the (figure of speech) "market". Including FreeBSD -S & -C. When in doubt, I have been given good pieces of advice by (wait for it) freebsd-hardware ;-) Just my 0.02 Euro. -- Salvo To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
