Yes.  4.2-BETA is just a symbolic name for 4.1.1-STABLE before
4.2-RELEASE.  It is intended to be a pre-RC1, and for the most part its
only purpose is to test ports to make sure nothing has a dumb configure
script (i.e. where it thinks 4.2 is not a valid FreeBSD version or
something).

The moral of the story is: don't trust naming schemes much,
understand the purpose of the branch.
