At a quick glance, they look good and it goes with my one thinking over here. I have to set time aside for thinking about a better way to organize and distribute the information. That Perl thingy which you mention is also a problem -- from an arm-chair it looks to me that perl is too cpu intensive and for high volume distribution we probably should stick to C or C++. Okay, after putting you in the spot, what I am looking for is to start a project to tackle the problem. Ideally first for the multimedia list.
