Although we strongly recommend building > it into kernel, there is no need to prevent it from building at all. FWIW, is there any difference between loading acpi.ko from loader.conf with "device acpi"-less kernel, and having ACPI compiled in? (I am interested in both i386 and amd64 cases.) I normally offload everything possible to modules (including `mem' and `io') and wonder it is safe thing to do for `acpi' as well. Thanks. ./danfe
