It doesn't exist anymore. :-( No, really: FreeSBIE delivered, if I remember correctly, two systems: version 1 was based upon FreeBSD 5, and version 2 upon FreeBSD 6. They had added a "detect and load drivers" function to system startup, so when you entered the X stage, graphics, sound etc. would work. It was presented as ISO images fitting a regular 650 MB CD blank medium - and have media player, Firefox, Xfce and Openbox desktops, and many useful tools ready to be used without any installation (in fact, even on systems without a disk). The website is still available: http://www.freesbie.org/ I'm sure I have the ISO files for 1.1 and 2.0.1 somewhere. Downloads, blog and wiki seem to be gone. > It would be nice if it would make sense to chose the "flavour" based on > the logo. > I like this logo: > https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MidnightBSD#/media/File:MidnightBSDLogo.svg > > Maybe the term "distro" fits better, than "flavour": > http://www.midnightbsd.org/documentation/mports/index.html > > The logo seems not to be the best selection criterion. The "Screenshots" section has a screenshot of Lumina. Does that mean they got it working? The year in the terminal window is visibale as 2016... ;-) -- Polytropon Magdeburg, Germany Happy FreeBSD user since 4.0 Andra moi ennepe, Mousa, ...
