We have a Supermicro X5DA8 (http://www.supermicro.com/PRODUCT/MotherBoards/E7505/X5DA8.htm ) and FreeBSD's AHD driver for the SCSI controller doesn't seem to detect the onboard SCSI controller, I've tried both 4.7 and 5.0 distros without success.
