To: freebsd-newbies@freebsd.org MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Mailer: AOL 5.0 for Windows sub 59 Sender: owner-freebsd-newbies@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.org Ok, hey guys :), i have two computers, one (the "family" computer) runs windows and is connected to the internet, two (my computer) is running FreeBSD and will be connected as soon as i get an external, now i want to install the ports collection, i know that the most popular way is off the internet with, "make install" i know that make install checks for cdrom to download the sources from, this is what i need to download from so here is my question: i have the "FreeBSD Desktop Edition, it has 4 cd's 1). Installation Cd 2). Live file system 3). Extra packages 4).
