Multiboot works just fine right now, but it's not going to resize your NTFS partition for you. That would be a neat idea, and it couldn't be hard to implement. After all, we can already create filesystems in memory. Nevertheless, there are too many levels of indirection. It would only be a marketing gimmick, not something suitable for long-term use. At some point, the installer needs to work.
