I've tried reinstalling, clearing the CMOS on the board, just about everything I could think of. On another Intel board I have with onboard nic's, there was no problem at all, fxp0 and fxp1 worked w/o a problem. Another thing that I've noticed is in ifconfig where it has media, it just says "Ethernet manual". What exactly does that mean? I've looked around on google as well as the handbook and FAQ but didn't really find a good answer. The only real difference between this Intel board and the other is the version of freebsd, 4.4 is on the other one. To make this even weirder, I gave the macine an address on my local network, 10.0.1.2, and it was able to ping my normal workstation, 10.0.1.1 and I could ping it back, however it could not ping the router, 10.0.0.1. I checked the subnet and it was correct (I even tried giving it an address of 10.0.0.145 and it still didn't work). If this is a simple problem and I'm just overlooking something I apologize, but I'm stumped at the moment.
