Check and see if you have either the program 'dig' or 'nslookup' available. If so, do this: dig @localhost [domianname] nslookup [domainname] localhost If you get the error, then you haven't set up the zone right. Make sure it's in /etc/namedb/named.conf, and that the syntax for the zone is correct.
