     Just as another data point, I installed 2.0.5R onto a system with
an ET4000-based card (some ancient Sigma Designs card w/512K max RAM)
without any problems.  I eventually stopped using the ET4000 card only
because it didn't support high resolutions with XFree86.  I'm now using
an ET4000/W32i- based card, but this is because I had an extra one
laying around (this isn't perfect, as XFree86 seems to have a bug that
can cause the console to lock up when the accelerated XF86_W32 server is
used).
