As an absolute beginner who is oblivious to the hysterical raisins why this and that have happened in the past, I wonder why packages are not stored as a subdirectory of ftp.freebsd.org/pub/, which would make it easy for all official and unofficial mirrors to keep a copy of them. -- Ottavio Caruso
