I'll venture to guess that you want to set the following when you boot up: hw.pcic.intr_path="1" hw.pcic.irq="0" 4.4 introduced PCI routing which the VAIO cdrom doesn't seem to like. Please check out the RELNOTES where this is mentioned for more details. Also, could we *please* FAQ-itize this somewhere?
