Couple the knowledge of Jordan is, of course, depressingly right here. Sybase doesn't even support Solaris i86 and is a major release behind on UnixWare. One thing that might be of interest is that Sybase provides Linux client libraries free of charge. You can't use Linux as a database server, but at least you can connect to a database server from Linux.
