.... I did a 'portsnap fetch update' This A.M.: [root@kabini1, /etc, 10:33:58am] 366 % portsnap fetch update Looking up portsnap.FreeBSD.org mirrors... 7 mirrors found. Fetching snapshot tag from your-org.portsnap.freebsd.org... done. Fetching snapshot metadata... done. Updating from Wed Mar 30 15:47:21 MCDT 2016 to Tue Apr 19 10:21:43 MCDT 2016. Fetching 4 metadata patches... done. Applying metadata patches... done. Fetching 4 metadata files... done. Fetching 13922 patches.....10....20....30....40....50....60....70....80....90....100....110....120....130....140....150....160....170....180....190....200....210....2 It brought down almost 14K updates for 3-ish weeks .... I know the ports effort is a feverish hive of productivity, but that sounded a bit high :-) .... Is that number anomalous, maybe coincident w/ new quarter, something else ?
