IMHO, the 'bug' is in the system installed version, unless I'm missing
something (suidperl is not the solution...) ...

setuid perl scripts no longer work.  

I ended up installing from scratch two nights ago cause all my setuid perl
scripts died when I removed the perl5.004 I had in /usr/local :(
