Dear Sir Madam,
I have the experience, by now, of installing few ports and
applications. With all my enthusiasm toward FreeBSD and my dismay of
Microsoft products, I have to admit that installing applications on
FreeBSD isn't the easiest thing in the world. Fourtunatelly, for some
applications I found elaborate, step by step instructions as for how to
install them. Unfourtunatelly, none are existing for most of the ports
I tried to install. So far, I can see that the standard is a name,
short description for each port and thats it. For my opinion, changing
the standart by adding these kind of instructions to each port will be
of a tremandous help, and will promote the causes of FreeBSD. I hope to
see the port standard changing and find instructions for them.

Thanks
Rami Zeira
