If you potentially use jumbo frame, all 1000Base-SX PCI card can have similar throughput (to maximum speed). But, NetGear is almost a half price of the SysKonnect. For standard 1500 MTU, SysKonnect can go 900Mbps, and NetGear goes about 650Mbps. Remember that a 64-bit PCI slot is required. On 32-bit PCI system, SysKonnect can have 600Mbps throughput if the memory bandwidth is at least 200 MBps, and NetGear goes probably the maximum at 340Mbps regardless the maximum memory bandwidth (of couse, the minimum memory bandwidth must be at least 100 MBps). -Jin To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-hardware" in the body of the message
