Sure, but FreeBSD is the only one who has all these 'special/new' MIB's that Mike thinks should be used by normal users for determining regular information (vs. using it for system configuration). In other words, using it for FreeBSD system configuration is acceptable, but expecting people to know how to use it and which MIB's to look at is a FreeBSD-only addition.
