Some of you may have seen my post on the questions list about running portupgrade that broke my gnome2.8-lite install. I was pointed to the faq on this matter....shame on me. Well I ran the prescribed script and it bombed as well. The output is attached.....here is the console output: -su-2.05b# sh ./gnome_upgrade.sh To prevent crashing your system, as well as to significantly speed up the upgrade, you are strongly advised to run this program from a console. If any GNOME or Gtk+-2 application is running, you MUST abort now. If necessary, hit Control-C now, drop to a terminal, and restart the upgrade. You can watch the upgrade process in real-time by running: tail -f /var/tmp/gnome_upgrade_log.3wmilP >>>>>STAGE 1 of 5: Cleaning the package database. ===> Running /usr/local/sbin/pkgdb to start with a consistent package database . .. The output of the failed portupgrade can be found in /var/tmp/gnome_upgrade_log.3wmilP. If you require additional help, please compress /var/tmp/gnome_upgrade_log.3wmilP, and send it to freebsd-gnome@FreeBSD.org. all I wanted to do wuz update my system...now, all I want to do is fix my gnome install. Or, I could keep running windowmaker.... --Karl _________________________________________________________________ Express yourself instantly with MSN Messenger!
