For me, Evolution eternally hangs when sending mail over SMTP
after receiving 220 welcome banner from remote SMTP server. Then it just
sits there endlessly...

I worked it around by setting delivery to local sendmail instead of
SMTP, that works fine.

I would like to help more, but I don't know how to debug threaded
applications using gdb. If anyone can give me quick dirty howto
(offlist), thanks.
