At the request of one of our users, I installed the gopher-2.3 port.. he's discovered a rather annoying bug in which if you try to cancel loading of a page with ^C, it starts flooding the terminal with bells. To reproduce, do the following: - gopher -- then after the menu comes-up, - o -- to open a new client - soundgarden.micro.umn.edu -- apparently defunct Veronica search After you press ^X to open the location, wait a few seconds then press ^C to cancel it. Be prepared to kill your terminal session, as there appears to be no way to get out after this point. Is there a solution to this? -- Dan Roberts, Systems Engineer Voice 800.656.GWIS GWIS Internet Solutions Fax 330.656.5440 To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-ports" in the body of the message
