Please ignore this one. (Since I received no response, I guess
everyone did.) entirely PEBKAC. dri was at the wrongversion (the NOT
KMS one) and tht ws the only issue. My 1600x900 display now looks
simply wonderful!

Thanks kib and the Foundation for this! Still hoping for vty switching
to be restored, though.
