What we guarantee though, is that you'll be able to build your kernel through this sequence: make buildworld make buildkernel This takes care of upgrade issues. In this case, the upgrade issue is that sys/dev/aic7xxx/aicasm/Makefile relies on the new spelling of NO_MAN, and you still have your /usr/share/mk filled with the old stuff. Two options: 1. You follow the supported upgrade path above, which is also documented in src/UPDATING (COMMON ITEMS, "To build a kernel"). 2. You follow "To just build a kernel when you know that it won't mess you up" also from src/UPDATING, after manually updating your /usr/share/mk: cd /usr/src/share/mk make install Cheers, --=20 Ruslan Ermilov ru@FreeBSD.org FreeBSD committer --GvXjxJ+pjyke8COw Content-Type: application/pgp-signature Content-Disposition: inline -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.6 (FreeBSD) iD8DBQFBymhUqRfpzJluFF4RAupiAJ0eoa/eKI5GxmULy0FScbKCWtui9wCfTq9F ISSLsNAGsY3jdmJCR5CYbc4= =Waed -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --GvXjxJ+pjyke8COw--
