I don't know how you feel about this but it is an option that will work around the problem. I did this years ago when updating my KDC's keys from an older to a newer algorithm. The documentation is in an email I sent myself from $JOB-1 at the time to myself. I had to do this at $JOB-1 and subsequently here at home in 2004.
