Another option that I was reluctant to mention at the time but I'll say it
anyway, is: You can export your KDC and reimport using a different algorith=
m. I
don't know how you feel about this but it is an option that will work around
the problem.

I did this years ago when updating my KDC's keys from an older to a newer
algorithm. The documentation is in an email I sent myself from $JOB-1 at the
time to myself. I had to do this at $JOB-1 and subsequently here at home in
2004. (Just found the email I sent from myself at $JOB-1 pointing to the
documentation.)
