I have tried 2.2.7-RELEASE, 2.2.8-RELEASE and 3.0-RELEASE. On 2.2.X systems, it gets to the sysinstall 'Probing devices, please wait (this can take awhile)...' screen and hangs, 3.0 won't even get through the device probe.
