I've tried GO_MODULE= S wituout suceess becasuse I cannot fetch,
Your example is fr= om from gitlab, my port is ftom github. Maybe a diffrerent aproache is need= ed.

Could you take a look a security/gopass port a= nd see if it is possible at all?

you can try to use the new way to build go packages, as an example you
can look into one of the packages I maintain:
net/gitlab-agent

Maybe this new approach works for this port too and I would simplify the Makefile.
