I'm currently using 3.0 at home, and I get the following information from my dmesg(1): .. ide_pci0: rev 0x06 on pci0.7.1 .. Does this mean that bus-mastering DMA is being used? how can I turn it on if not? does a later version support the VIA Apollo? (it's actually an Apollo Pro 82C591 on a Slot1 board) ------------------------------------------------------------------- Orlando Andico +63 (2) 937-2293 Mosaic Communications, Inc. +63 (912) 800-8262 Promote bacteria.. it's the only culture some people have.
