I'm working on a version that shares as much of libc as possible, leaving
the thread specific stuff in libpthread (rather than building a separate
library that duplicates stuff that could be shared). I still haven't
come up with a working version that is acceptable to FreeBSD.org. Even if
I succeed, you won't see anything until 2.2 is safely out the door.

And I'm over due in writing that paper for the FSF conference. Sigh.
