Without reading any documentation, I installed postgres as root, is this wrong?(Documentation kind of says it is but am not 100% sure) Do I have to install as a su? If yes to the above, can I remedy the problem without re-installing. This is the error msg that is displayed. laptop2# createuser Connection to database 'template1' failed FATAL 1: SetUserId: user 'root' is not in 'pg_shadow' createuser: database access failed replace 'root' with 'myusername' in the su situation.
