Hi there... The master volume of my sound card isn't adjustable. The pcm volume is. Setting vol to 0 with mixer has no effect. (I've seen that Ariff Abdullah has made some patches for similar problems, but I'm new to FreeBSD - I don't even know how to (apply and) install a patch, to test them.) # uname -a FreeBSD stokholm.dyndns.dk 6.1-STABLE FreeBSD 6.1-STABLE #0: Tue May 16 01:21:26 CEST 2006 root@stokholm.dyndns.dk:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC i386 # pciconf -lv | grep -B 4 audio pcm0@pci0:31:5: class=3D0x040100 card=3D0x01201462 chip=3D0x24d58086 rev=3D= 0x02 hdr=3D0x00 vendor =3D 'Intel Corporation' device =3D '82801EB/ER (ICH5/ICH5R) AC'97 Audio Controller' class =3D multimedia subclass =3D audio
