It appears that something was changed in the detection process effective with 4.10 that was then carried into the Boot disk with 5 and later. I can't get any further than watching it get to detection of the CD. After that, everything hangs. Someone suggested recompiling, but the machine in question is a 300 MHz Pentium. From what I gather, it would take a VERY long time before I would even learn if it worked.
