Asus cuv4x-dls, dual pIII 1000mhz, 1gb, onboard scsi 160 and intel lan. Trying to backup nfs mounted directory to tape using tar. System reboots. custom kernel using -O2 -march=i686 -mcpu=i686, stripped down to mostly essentials. Doing the same backup of nfs mounts, using the same hardware on a Solaris x6 works perfectly. Also having problems with Solaris deletes on nfs mounts. A rm -rf fails to fully delete the tree and returns errors for existing files. I had this before and when I switched a 3.1 rel system to nfs v2 it stopped being a problem. Is the nfs v3 a known problem? I searched every where for info and did not find anything specific. thanks, >How-To-Repeat: Try to backup an nfs mount to tape. >Fix: >Release-Note: >Audit-Trail: >Unformatted: To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-bugs" in the body of the message
