Usually, I delete any .so.*.*.* in lib/compat/pkg, but IIRC, I found one 
still in use once.

There is linking vs minor library versions -- though it is rare:

%readelf -d /usr/local/bin/ekiga | grep 'so\.[0-9]*\.'

%cd /usr/local/lib/ ; ls libopal_r.so*
