Please, excuse me if this is a wring address for such information. I've just downloaded and ran the JMark2.0 -- Pure Java certified java benchmark -- from ftp://ftp.zdnet.com/pub/zdbop/jmark/jm20sol.tar.gz I have the latest JDK from ports (2.25). The benchmark runs as appletviewer index.htm (FreeBSD's netscape does not support Java 1.1 fully). There are some problems however: * free() reports junk pointers from java_X 4 times * data in text entry fields can be entered but can not be seen (the characters are below the edge of the text entry widget) * the results can not be saved (I am not sure if appletviewer can save anything, but a save option is offered) I hope this can help tuning/fixing the JDK. My machine is a single PPro200 with 256K cache. 128Mb of RAM. I have my own Motif 2.0 from Xinside and their X-server (v3.1) operating on Matrox with 4Mb of VRAM in 1600x1200 mode.
