Sarah, I'm runnning FreeBSD 2.2.5 on my Toshiba laptop using a generic pcmcia card. Works better than my desktop. I'm not using PAO either. Straight 2.2.5-Release. One note: slot zero (top) does not work on my laptop. I don't know if I have a bad machine or not, but it threw me for a few hours, till I switched to slot one. ;( Patrick Gardella On 09-Dec-97 Sarah Noelle Pratt Ferguson wrote: > >Hi. > >I have a Toshiba laptop, and I don't run FreeBSD >because last time I tried it didn't have support >for PCMCIA 3com ethernet card or PCMCIA modem card. > > >I see you have support for the ethernet card now, >but I don't see support for any PCMCIA modem cards >(in the 2.2 release notes). > >Please advise. > >Thanks, >-s-
