I ran sysutils/memtest twice. Both times, it failed to panic the system. I have yet to bring the system down and boot into a "real" memory/hardware checker, however. I usually just go with ultimatebootcd.com when testing, but if you have other suggestions for tools, I'd welcome your input before we schedule to do the testing.
