I found = now that it fails when PULSEAUDIO=3Doff (which is a default). So the best thing you can try is to turn PULSEAUDIO=3Don for audio/openal-s= oft: # cd /usr/ports/audio/openal-soft # config .... set PULSEAUDIO=3Don then: # portupgrade -f openal-soft When PULSEAUDIO=3Don, qTox only shows /dev/dspN devices, no strings like "pcm3:play:dsp3".
