But I don't think it's years. Only 1 year has passed since we switched FreeBSD ports repo from Subversion to Git. The way you sh= owed still works but it is a Subversion-like way. `git format-patch` is the preferred Git way. It is easier to apply for most FreeBSD committers than t= he `git diff` style patch.
