I still like the: PCI on-board IDE (almost all Pentium MBs) $0. Adaptec PCI SCSI (2940) $179. There aren't enough on-board SCSIs to chose from to consider it, and you're also stuck with whatever they decided to put on-board.....which may not be as good or well-supported at the standard card. The point is, if you have 50 machines that don't care much about disk speed, there certainly is a difference in cost.
