Does each driver define its own, or is there a default somewhere? Does that hold for pseudo-ttys, as well (telnet)? There seems to have been a change in this. The .login file for root on 2.0-950322-SNAP still changes "erase" to ^H, but the syscons driver now comes up generating DEL when the backspace key is pressed... I have poked around for this information, and never found it in the FAQ's nor in a casual search through the code, so if someone could give me a nudge to get off of center (though no speculation, please :-), it would be appreciated...
