The problem is clearly with the ksh93 update. I think it has to do with bui=
ltin
functions. I see a similar problem with the `tail -F` command too.

I don't think it makes sense to reopen this particular bug, as there is not=
hing
with /bin/date. We should perhaps open a bug against ksh93 instead.
