We seek a software engineer who is passionate about and professionally committed to system security development. The winning candidate will make major contributions to ensure the resiliency and correctness of Juniper's network operating systems, including Junos OS and embedded Linux-based systems, so all security requirements are fulfilled. Implement system security designs that provide end-to-end integrity and protection, from CPU reset to run-time signature verifications. Identify, analyze, and protect all the software, firmware, and hardware components so that integrity breaches can be discovered. Implement secure boot and measured boot on one or more router, switch, or firewall platforms. Adhere to Trusted Computing Group (TCG) standards if possible and pursue proprietary approaches if necessary. Support the Remote Attestation of network devices. Extend the integrity architecture so that all objects are verified prior to execution, using the Linux IMA (Integrity Messaging Architecture) and Extended Verification Module (EVM). Work across platforms and systems to maximize re-use of design elements, code, unit tests, and key management methods. Collaborate closely with senior software engineers, hardware engineers and manufacturing to deliver solutions that are both secure and practical.
