You've clearly never had to build one.

And if one of those desktops falls down, it only inconveininces a
single use.  If the server falls down, all 78 people will be on the
phone.  Which is why reliability is the most important thing for a
server.

Sounds like you would be better served (heh!) by Linux.

No, it doesn't.

Neither does McDonald's.  Different businesses.

Besides, OS/X =is= FreeBSD with an Apple-developed GUI on top of it.

But you're operating from a false assumption, that FreeBSD is even
attempting to compete with Windows.  Frankly, I don't care at all.
And I'll bet neither does Yahoo! or any of the thousands of ISPs
that earn their living off serving their clients with FreeBSD.
