I didn't test proposed patch, but used cases for parsing of /dev/sndstat ou=
tput
in attachment #212838 is somehow similar to what I used for bug 211684. I
guess, there is a need to mention about possibility of "hw.snd.verbose > 0"
usage, which you did in bug 211684 comment #17.
