Here's a few things I think look "cool": lomac(4) nmdm(4) PECOFF (??) options REGRESSION (??) conscontrol(8) vinum (new changes, enhancements) snapshots extended attributes for files/directories Inode filesystem (IFS) Access Control Lists (ACLs) NFS enhancements pseudofs (??) ACPI support devinfo tool background fscking (background_fsck in rc.conf(5)) growfs - not new, but still cool nsswitch - hosts.conf is dead PAM enhancements, and new modules rpc.lockd - NFS locking We can (and should) hunt the developers of these features down and ask for details.. Some are just "honorable mentions", but some are full blown kick-arse features (like snapshots).
