I've tried the releng6 version of that patch (which isn't at the above URL but looking in the k8c1e directory made it obvious) and the laptop now works correctly when you apply or remove power. There is an issue with booting on battery and I need to do some more investigating to determine whether this is a side-effect of the patch (which I don't believe) or something else. --=20 Peter Jeremy Please excuse any delays as the result of my ISP's inability to implement an MTA that is either RFC2821-compliant or matches their claimed behaviour. --Mh8CTEa8Ax54aLHp Content-Type: application/pgp-signature Content-Disposition: inline -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.9 (FreeBSD) iEYEARECAAYFAkg3RgIACgkQ/opHv/APuIfgFgCeIfiKorlhlD5Ms+Q3d00KgNm0 pS0An0AxkL6rn+8wJDHJa2F9Oz/MmL/q =pu/H -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --Mh8CTEa8Ax54aLHp--
