in x i press ctl-alt-fn to get to shell, in shell it's enough to press
alt-fn to get back to x. no problems usually. i'm using freebsd 1.1.5R w/
XFree 2.0.  but sometimes the non-x consoles kinda "disappear", i can't
access them anymore, machine just beeps. reboot helps in this case.
