A point which is made irrelevant if you want to make a comparison of the learning curves, by taking two persons who have no prior experience to programming, and teach procedural programming to one of them, while teaching object-oriented programming to the second. The steeper learning curve of C++ is indeed steeper, not because of some magic property of the object-oriented programming paradigm, but because there are a lot more things to learn, before a complete program can be written, IMHO.
