For voodoo5 there were a couple of other resources as well, both on Xfree86's website and one from (IIRC) Oregon University. However, I didn't have success--and actually, when I posted the steps I'd followed, someone pointed out that parts of it were trying to get it running in 3d, let alone 2d. :) However, thank you. It never hurts to ask the obvious (I know I've missed the obvious several times.)
